Cancellation and Refund

It’s always sad when you have to cancel a booking or trip with us. But to ensure that your disappointment is minimized and you have no nasty surprises, our fair Cancellation Policy is clearly explained here. Tripcooker Travels LLP, the holding entity for The Wander Girls, reserves the right to change the cancellation policy without assigning any reason. Upcoming Trips

Read this cancellation and refund policy carefully and be sure you’ve understood it before booking a trip. This cancellation and refund policy also applies to any trips purchased under the ‘Gift a Holiday’ option.

This section explains the cancellation fees levied for cancellation after booking a trip, and the refund methods we use to execute refunds.

You can cancel your seat on a Tour by communicating your decision to cancel in writing by email or via a written letter submitted at our office, and the date of receipt of such written communication is considered for cancellation.

Your seat on a tour is non-transferable to any other person.

The cancellation charges for our tours would be levied as under:

75 days prior to departure date of the TWG Tour – 10% of the cost of the TWG tour

74 days to 61 days prior to departure date of the TWG tour- 25% of the cost of the TWG tour

60 days to 31 days prior to departure date of the TWG tour– 50% of the cost of the TWG tour

30 days & less prior to departure date of the TWG tour- 100% of the cost of the TWG tour

For any air tickets booked by us for the trip, that will also have to be cancelled, the charges on actuals, as per the airline cancellation policy will apply.

Please note- Irrespective of the above mentioned cancellation slabs, in case of cancellation of tour after the booking is made with us, a minimum 10% charge would be applicable.

REFUND METHOD: Any refund due to you would be worked out on the basis of cancellation policy as described above, and the money would accordingly be refunded to the person who made the payment to us. Please note that the refund process would take atleast 30 days to process. If the refund is made to the credit card account OR to the Bank account, the bank charges would be debited from the refund amount. Under no circumstances will cash refund be issued. You can also opt to receive a credit note instead, which can be used as a credit against other tours.

INSURANCE: For higher end trip packages, we advise you to purchase an insurance policy which will reimburse your trip costs up to a certain value, if there is any cancellation due to emergencies like hospitalization or death of a family member or yourself. Please ask us if you need more information on this.


Custom trips

Custom trip Planning: A lot of time and effort is invested by us for planning a custom trip. Hence, payment made towards planning a custom trip is non-refundable.

Custom tour packages: Custom tours cancelled within 30 days of the trip would result in no refund. Partial refunds maybe made for custom tours cancelled 30 days prior to trip date. You can cancel your custom tour booking by communicating your decision to cancel in writing by email or via a written letter submitted at our office, and the date of receipt of such written communication is considered for cancellation. However, the refund amount for a custom tour would be based on the refund policies of various third parties and suppliers we work with for booking your custom tour. Please check this with us prior to booking a custom tour.

For any air tickets booked by us for the trip, that will also have to be cancelled, the cancellation policy on actuals, as per the airline cancellation policy will apply.

 Please note- In case of cancellation of tour after the booking is made with us, a minimum 10% charge on trip amount per person would be applicable even if the trip is cancelled shortly thereafter.

In case you’ve paid for an event, amount would be refunded based on the individual policy for a given event. This would depend on whether it’s for a workshop, event ticket, meal confirmation etc. Please confirm the refund policy for any event, individually, before paying for it.

 


Travel to India

India trip planning: A lot of time and effort is invested by us for planning a custom trip. Hence, payment made towards India trip planning is non-refundable.

India tour packages: India tour packages cancelled within 30 days of the trip would result in no refund. Partial refunds maybe made for India tour packages cancelled 30 days prior to trip date. You can cancel your India tour package by communicating your decision to cancel in writing by email or via a written letter submitted at our office, and the date of receipt of such written communication is considered for cancellation. However, the refund amount for your India package tour would vary based on the refund policies of various hotels, guesthouses, lodges, airlines, car rental services etc. that we work with for your package tour.Please check this with us prior to booking an India tour.
