The saucer shaped boat is surprisingly sturdy, made of local materials and covered by a rust resistant sheet below. The boat is stirred with a long paddle and floats easily.
Enjoy watching exotic birds as you make your journey through the forests of Kabini. The forest department organizes safaris between 6 am to 3:30pm. Lucky ladies will spot Tigers, Leopard and Dhole (Indian wild dogs) in their natural habitat. Animals like jackals, striped hyena, chital, barking deer, sloth bears, antelopes are also found in plenty. This forest is also famous for its unique sighting of leopards on trees and elephants on the banks of the backwaters.
